Where a strike comes from
A strike is recorded automatically, or by Norpex staff:
- Automatically — sharing contact details, or offering to pay outside Norpex.
- From staff — listing a prohibited item, misrepresenting equipment, repeated unresponsiveness, or abusive messages.
Three strikes
3 uncleared strikes within 180 days automatically suspend an account from the marketplace: no messaging, listing or buying there. A storefront purchase from norpex.ca is not affected.
Immediate suspension
A serious violation — fraud, stolen goods, threats, or avoiding fees — can mean immediate suspension, without waiting for three strikes.
What a suspension does
It hides the seller's listings and holds any pending payouts while Norpex investigates. Lifting the suspension restores the listings.
A strike made in error
Norpex staff can clear a strike that should not have been recorded.
Appeals
Email marketplace@norpex.ca within 30 days of a strike or suspension. A person reviews every appeal.
