Short answer
LTL means less-than-truckload: a shipment that does not fill a trailer, so it shares one with other customers' freight and moves through the carrier's terminals. Commercial kitchen equipment too heavy or bulky for a parcel carrier, such as ranges and refrigeration, usually ships this way, on a pallet or in a crate.
LTL is priced on weight, dimensions, distance and any extra services. Standard service generally ends at the back of the truck, so plan how the equipment will get from the truck into the building.
At Norpex, ranges, refrigeration and other heavy equipment ship by freight carrier. A liftgate, a delivery appointment or inside delivery needs to be arranged with Norpex before paying.
Equipment ships from distributor warehouses, so dispatch timing depends on the supplier and the destination.
