A dunnage rack is a low, heavy-duty platform that keeps bulk goods such as sacks of flour, cases and kegs off the floor. Most are aluminum or polymer, with a solid or slotted top. They are common in walk-in coolers, freezers and dry storage rooms.
Health units commonly require food and packaging to be stored off the floor, so the floor can be cleaned and pests are easier to spot. Ask yours what clearance it expects.
Choose the size by what sits on it: stacked flour sacks or cases of canned goods need a longer, higher-rated rack than a few kegs. Check the manufacturer's weight rating rather than guessing.
