A meat band saw cuts through bone-in meat, frozen blocks and large primals with a continuous toothed blade running around two wheels. Butcher shops, grocery meat departments, processors and restaurants that break down their own sides or cut bone-in steaks and chops use one where a knife or cleaver would be slow or unsafe. Band saws are also used to portion frozen fish and meat.
